At the height of WWII, Col. Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise) assembles a group of high-ranking Nazi officers to carry out a plot intent on assassinating Hitler (David Bamber) and seizing control of the military in order to end the war. Codenamed "Valkyrie," after Hitler's own emergency plan to address a revolt against the German government, the operation is seen as the last chance to stop a mad man and bring justice and honor back to Germany.
