After a hard night out on the Vegas Strip, strangers Jack Fuller (Ashton Kutcher) and Joy McNally (Cameron Diaz) awaken to discover that they've gotten married. Neither wants to stay hitched, but when Jack uses Joy's quarter to win a huge slot machine jackpot, they both lay claim to the prize money. After a judge (Dennis Miller) orders them to six months of forced marriage, Jack and Joy decide that the only way to settle their dilemma is to make each other's lives as miserable as possible until one of them admits defeat and signs over the cash in the divorce.
