Tenoch (Diego Luna) and Julio (Gael García Bernal) are two teenage friends whose girlfriends leave Mexico City one summer to travel in Europe. Fresh with a new sense of freedom, the pair meet Luisa (Maribel Verdú) at a wedding. While trying to impress the beautiful older woman, they invent a mythical, secluded beach and invite her on a road trip. Reluctant at first, Luisa eventually agrees and the three embark on a journey of bonding and sexual discovery through Mexico's rural villages and countryside. Directed by Alfonso Cuarón.
